DCW Polymers launches blooming new addition to sustainable outdoor products range

Exeter-based DCW Polymers has announced the launch of its new sustainable planters, expanding the firm’s popular outdoor products range.

DCW Polymers’ latest edition to its sustainable collection is a stylish planter which can be made in a variety of sizes, giving purchasers the option to tailor the planter to fit their own space.

With the ability to transform any outdoor space and inject a touch of colour to a variety of landscapes, the new planters offer a sustainable and longer lasting alternative to traditional timber products.

The planters, made out of 100% recycled plastic collected from UK businesses, will be on show at the Public Spaces Expo in November. Well-suited to public outdoor spaces, the planters are maintenance-free and long-lasting. Completely weatherproof, they will not rot, splinter, or corrode or ever require painting or treating. The planters are also robust and hard-wearing, meaning that they are not easily vandalised.

As one of the only integrated plastics recycling, reprocessing and manufacturing plants in the South West to close the loop for its plastics and manufacture products in-house, DCW Polymers is on a mission to give plastic waste a new lease of life. The manufacturing process recycles waste plastic into new, high-quality products, saving valuable resources and energy, diverting recyclable plastics away from landfill.

Simon Almond, Managing Director of DCW Polymers, commented: “We’re delighted to unveil our brand-new planters at the Public Spaces Expo. They were created following feedback from our customers who wanted a stylish alternative to timber planters. We understand that different planters are needed for different spaces, so our team can work with customers to create a planter that fits the space they have available, an option you wouldn’t have with alternative products. You even have the option to add wheels to the bottom of your planter, giving you the ability to move the planter easily.”

Simon continued: “Our outdoor products range is going from strength to strength. We’ve only been manufacturing the collection since 2020 but have already sold thousands of products to customers who are seeking sustainable alternatives and are keen to support our mission to achieve a more circular economy. I encourage those attending the Public Spaces Expo to visit the DCW Polymers team on stand L20 to find out more about the range and view the brand-new planters.”

Other products in DCW Polymers’ outdoor products range that might be of interest to visitors of the Public Spaces Expo include the Falmouth park bench, the Torbay backless leisure bench and the curved Atlantic bench which is partially made using marine plastics collected from South West beaches. Each product has a 25-year guarantee and comes fully assembled with free delivery.
